A new online resource for Titanic researchers has been launched by the National Archives.
To mark the centenary of the sinking of RMS Titanic on 15 April 1912, The National Archives has published a new online resource that includes biographical accounts of some of the individuals on board, short videos and podcasts and an image showcase containing pictures taken from our primary source material.

You can also search passenger and crew lists from across Titanic, Olympic (Titanic’s sister ship) and Carpathia, the ship who rescued the survivors from the lifeboats.
The National Archives holds many records about RMS Titanic, including passenger lists, crew lists and the Board of Trade Inquiry into the sinking.
They currently have original, unique material from the records related to Titanic on display in their museum.
A display, using facsimiles, in the reading rooms also looks at the ship and the people associated with her.
One hundred years after the sinking of RMS Titanic, there are still people today who’s lives were affected by the tragic incident. National Archives have some of these interviews on video as well as some documentary footage such as that above.
