{"id":5494,"date":"2012-02-26T13:32:16","date_gmt":"2012-02-26T13:32:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.heritageandhistory.com\/contents1a\/?p=5494"},"modified":"2012-02-26T13:32:16","modified_gmt":"2012-02-26T13:32:16","slug":"bannockburn-heritage-centre-looks-forward-to-new-exhibitions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.heritageandhistory.com\/contents1a\/2012\/02\/bannockburn-heritage-centre-looks-forward-to-new-exhibitions\/","title":{"rendered":"Bannockburn Heritage Centre looks forward to new exhibitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Visitors to\u00a0The National Trust for Scotland\u2019s <a title=\"Bannockburn Heritage Centre\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nts.org.uk\/Property\/Bannockburn\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bannockburn Heritage Centre<\/a> will see the site for the last time this season, before it is demolished to make way for a new purpose built centre.<\/p>\n<p>The 1960s building is being replaced by a brand new visitor centre set to open in 2014 to coincide with the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn.<\/p>\n<p>Property Manager Scott McMaster said:\u00a0\u201cThe centre has been at the heart of Bannockburn for a long time and has served it well.
